what is life-centered systems thinking

Climify is back! Season 2 is ready for you!

  • July 24, 2022
  • Eric Benson
  • Climate Desigenrs, Climify, Interviews, Projects

Eric is hosting, and Re-nourish again is sponsoring the current season of Climify on the Climate Designers’ network. Season 2 will feature a range of provocative and engaging climate and sustainability experts to help design educators and designers bring climate science and action into their work.

Episode 1 of Season 2 dropped last week and featured one of the prolific paleoecologists in the world, Dr. Jacquelyn Gill. She spoke with Eric about dealing with climate anxiety and why she feels designers are perfectly suited to help climate scientists tell stories about climate data and why designing on longer timescales helps make the most responsible creations.

Episode 2 with Dr. Weslynne Ashton came out this week. Dr. Ashton, a design and engineering faculty at IIT in Chicago details what life-centered systems thinking is and how and why the designer can use this to create with the climate, planet, and human safety all top of mind.

We really look forward to hearing your thoughts about each episode over on our Instagram channel!
