Manchester Veg people

The goal of this project was to create an identity for a very new type of organization – a co-operative of local organic growers and restaurants working together to provide fresh, seasonal food of the highest possible quality. Manchester Veg People supply produce to restaurants, caterers and public sector organizations in and around Greater Manchester.MVP are, in their own words “a multi-stakeholder co-operative formed of local organic growers and buyers. We are helping develop a new model for the local food supply chain.” Most of their produce is grown within 50 miles of Manchester city centre on seven different farms and is picked to order the day before delivery to ensure freshness and reduce waste. Buyers and growers are working together as a co-op to help coordinate supply and demand locally and to ensure growers are paid a fair price for their produce. This is truly local produce at it’s best.

When MVP approached Paper Rhino they had no name or brand and wanted to develop one co-operatively using consensus decision making, so the folks at Paper Rhino travelled by train to run workshops for them to help them to design their own look for the organization.
